Welcome to my personal site on MusicaNeo! The common thread in my music is my unique(?) perception of the presence or absence of simultaneously diverging melodies (free counterpoint). If you can not get enough of it, I recommend the section Considerate Music and below on my personal website. It is the center of information about me and my music.
Mission
My objective is to raise awareness of the subtle influence I have experienced of symbolism in general, and of music in particular, on the psyche. I assume that influence varies from person to person. Consider, for example, the range of influence from a silent march to various psychopharmaceuticals.
I have found that the easiest way to experience meaning in music is through the symbolism of voices (not to confuse with vocals). Music is a universal language of feelings and emotions that can hardly be put into words, if at all. I believe that explains its popularity. You can assign meaning to many things, even if you cannot put it into words.
However, I believe that the symbolic meaning of phenomena such as high-middle-low, director-manager-subordinate, superconsciousness-consciousness-subconsciousness, etc. are universal, whether you like it or not. You may become aware of this symbolism through monophony, homophony or polyphony. In monophony because of the absence of it. In the latter cases also super- and subordination and dominant to equal parties. These are perceptible even to less sensitive listeners. I experience equality and freedom when listening to free contrapuntal music. Dictation and subordination through copying behavior in imitative music. Followership, sometimes suppression in homophonic music. Even in no-obligation styles.
I believe that music is one of the many phenomena in the world that can make people believe that certain relationships must be a certain way, when in fact they could be different. Personally, I usually think of interpersonal relationships: much music consists of a dominant melody in the upper voice accompanied by subordinate middle voices, chords, and basses. I experience this as dictators being followed by "people who matter less".
To demonstrate that music does not have to be about people dominating others, I use free counterpoint. Various simultaneous melodies that follow their own path, while taking the other melodies into account to maintain harmony (resulting in interesting and varied harmony). The middle notes are regularly emphasized so that it is clear to the listener that they are just as important as the others.
Releasing my music is a contemporary technical opportunity to bring previously unreleased music to the market.
